  • A kitchen could go anywhere from $30,000 to 100,000+, depending on size, material selections, and what we have to do.
  • Master Bath could go anywhere from $20,000 and up, depending on scope of project.

We provide free estimates, which you can get started online or by calling us at 630-541-8692.

The length of a project will vary depending on the scope of the work but we can give you an idea of the duration very early in the design process.  Please keep in mind, in addition to the build, design planning and material selections are made in the weeks before the start date of the project. It really depends on the specifics of your job, as a rough estimate,

  • A complete bathroom remodel usually takes 2-3 weeks from the start of installation to completion
  • Kitchen Remodel takes 4+ weeks

In general, yes you can.  Our carpenters will take great care and section off the area where they are working to minimize any disturbance through the rest of our house.

For items like cabinetry, counter tops, plumbing, we use our partnered vendors. We have had customers handle it on their own, which inevitably impacts the timing of a job, oftentimes for the worst.

There are many variables that will impact how long your job will take, but the following is a break down of how the project phases usually progress.

  1. The Design or Planning Phase – during this phase you will be working with our Team to design and draw up plans for your new space.
  2. The Preparation Phase – from the signing of the contract until the actual construction begins. Materials are selected, design is finalized, and construction is scheduled. Our Team will continue to work closely with you during this phase.
  3. The Construction Phase – when the actual construction work is done. After this phase, your project will be substantially completed and is usable.
  4. The Wrap-Up Phase – you and our Team will draw up a final punch-list of any touch-up items left and agree on a schedule for their completion.

Sterling Studio will file all construction permits* and will schedule, meet and walk thru all inspections with the building inspector.

*Depending on varying municipalities and village ordinances and project types.

A deposit is paid at the signing of the contract so that materials can be ordered and purchased. This also holds a spot for you in our work schedule. From that point, payment is broken down into intervals based on project milestones.

Our carpenters working at the residence will handle all trash and debris removal.  Our team will leave your house as clean or cleaner than when the job began. If you’re having a large project done, a dumpster may be left on the premises while needed. Sterling Studio will work will you to determine the best placement.
